Shine Your sun on me

So I can see the clear ice cracks in my skin

And twinkle as I watch You

Melt it all away

In Your time

What can I do for You?
That You can't do?

I can never be perfect

I've certainly tried

And all the while more fissures appeared

Under the frozen smile on my face

I'm learning how to trust in Your work

Only You are good

You won't give up on me

You wait in the wings and gently call though I don't hear 

Eager for me to stop resisting in my self-reliance

And sit at Your feet

On my end

There's only turning my eyes to look at You

And even that I cannot do on my own
