You Should Cry

I forgot how to feel
There's nothing to heal
I've built this invulnerable fortress

My emotions are gone
I told them, "So long!"
There's no chink in my armour, no weakness

I've been so strong
For so long
I'm so brave
You dirty knave!
Stop asking me to cry
I'm all dry

"What you bury you plant
and what you plant grows"
"Well if that's true than these graves would be something

People like a tough leader
I was taught there's nothing sweeter
And this way I can be there for the others"

"What are you afraid of, you robot?"
"Hey!! And I'm not!"
"You said you're brave but you're scared to fall apart"

"Oh really, you're so smart?
Where do I start
I'm afraid to be shattered beyond fixing

To have a dark bout
And never come out
To find that I'm sad and alone

For people to think I'm weak
No! It's just an eye leak!
See this feeling is a miserable business"

"I think that that's true
But the way out is through
And I vow that you're never alone

God promises to be there
To catch broken pieces and repair
You won't look like you did, you'll be better

It's hard to be believed
That more resilient you'll be weaved
God draws near to the hurt and brings true healing."
